Competency-Based Management

COURSE DURATION 5 Days

Date:13th – 17th April 2026

Introduction

Mastering competency management is essential if you are looking to prepare your organization for the future. Automation and AI are rapidly transforming work as we know it. Some forecast that 85% of jobs available in 2030 have not yet even been invented. And there’s the global talent shortage to consider. Over 85 million jobs are estimated to go unfilled by 2030, which could cost up to $8.5 trillion in untapped annual profits.

Competency management is a multi-step process. It is about identifying, developing, assessing, and optimizing employees’ skills, abilities, and behaviors. Particularly those who need to excel in their specific roles.

The ALARDI Africa Competency-based management (CBM) is a method of enhancing overall organizational performance and employee capability without relying on traditional management practices that can be complex and time-consuming. CBM, among other things, identifies patterns of order in the behaviour and development of highly productive workers, and this distils the core competencies.
