Managing Multiple Projects

COURSE DURATION 5 MARKS

Date: 13th – 17th July 2026

Introduction

Project management is changing. Rather than focusing solely on one large project, the majority of project managers are now expected to juggle multiple projects, and that brings a different set of challenges. ALARDI Africa envisions that it’s time for a new way of working — a way that is aligned to the realities of managing many things at the same time. It’s time for practical working methods that help us layer project upon project, because repeating the linear process of managing one single project over and over is a bloated and inefficient way to work. Multi-project management involves overseeing several projects simultaneously, coordinating tasks, resources, and project timelines across various initiatives.

Training Objectives

Participants will be able to gain competencies in the following:

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure all projects contribute to broader organizational goals, not just individual outcomes, by prioritizing based on strategic impact.
  • Efficient Resource Management: Balance team workloads, time, and budget across projects to prevent burnout and bottlenecks.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and plan for potential risks and dependencies between projects to avoid surprises and delays.
  • Maximized Productivity: Complete projects faster by finding synergies and working on parallel components, delivering incremental value.
