  • Middle and senior managers tasked with the direct delivery of events or oversight of specialist sub-contractors
  • Senior operational managers with responsibility for managing teams whose role includes event management
  • Senior managers up to Board level with responsibility for the strategic use of events as part of the organisation’s PR and marketing strategy and their effective deployment

 

Training Methodology

These instructor-led training sessions are delivered using a blended learning approach and include presentations, guided practical exercises, web-based tutorials, and group work. Our facilitators are seasoned industry experts with years of experience as professionals and trainers in these fields. All facilitation and course materials are offered in English. Participants should be reasonably proficient in the language.

 

This training can also be customized to suit the needs of your institution upon request. You can have it delivered to our Alardi Centre or to a convenient location.

  • Understanding scheduling techniques for events
  • Steps for creating an event running order
  • Describing the layout for various events
  • Recognising the importance of company culture on event success
  • Strategies for writing a compelling event proposal

 

DAY 3: Stage and On-Site Management 

  • Understanding the principles of stage Management of the event
  • Discovering methods for arranging sets and stages to reinforce corporate identity
  • Strategies and best practices to manage entertainment, catering, and music at an event
  • Discussing risk assessment strategies used to ensure a safe event environment
  • Discovering different types of event management technologies
  • Best troubleshooting practices and ways to handle issues during the event

 

DAY 4: Media and Public Relations in Event Management

  • Discovering professional methods for inviting media representatives and creating press releases
  • Understanding the process of organising the press office and press packs
  • Strategies to successfully conduct interviews and brief interviewees
  • Best practices in using filming and photography to create a lasting record
  • Discussing the importance of involving in-house media in event coverage
  • Identifying the link between public relations, marketing, and event management

 

DAY 5: Managing Guests and Post-Event Activities
