Royal Capacity Building

COURSE DURATION 5 DAYS

Date: 13th – 17th September 2026

Course Introduction

ALARDI Africa envisions that the great shift in the various aspects of the environment affects Royal Families as much as they affect countries, companies, and employees at large. Hence, the need for lifelong upskilling, re-training, and retooling on the necessary competences for the Royals to effectively and impactfully deliver. Adaptability and a cultural re- orientation to changes brings about emerging requirements on diplomacy, public service, protocol, and duty hold a high premium towards preparing Royals to serve/represent nations with grace, grit, and gravitas.

Key Outcomes of this Course

  • Establishing Respect and Dignity: Protocol creates an atmosphere of dignity and honor around the monarchy.
  • Creating Order and Structure: By providing a clear framework for behavior, dress codes, and communication, protocol ensures that events, both social and official, run smoothly and without embarrassment.
  • Ensuring Diplomatic Grace: Protocol is vital in diplomacy and state visits, where interactions between nations need to be managed with sensitivity.
  • Maintaining Neutrality and Impartiality: A core objective for working royals is to remain above politics and public debate.
  • Projecting Continuity and Tradition: The observance of long-standing traditions helps communicate continuity and stability, especially during times of change.
  • Managing Public Perception and Security: Palace staff use protocol to choreograph appearances and control the narrative surrounding the royals, aiming to avoid negative press or security risks.
