Dates: 16th-20th November 2026

The Standardized Work (SW) Course offers a comprehensive review and practice of the Standardized Work Development Process, highlighting the synergistic relationship between kaizen (continuous improvement), Standard Work, Work Standards, and Job Methods. It consolidates all of the TWI methods in an integrated approach to achieving true standardization of work.

Objectives:

The main objectives of the Standardized Work course are:

  • To create a stable baseline for continuous improvement (Kaizen)
  • Reduce process variability,
  • Enhance efficiency
  • Ensure consistent quality
  • Improve safety by documenting the best, most efficient, and safest way to perform a task, making it repeatable and easier to train new employees.

This course provides a foundation for identifying waste, solving problems, and increasing overall productivity and profitability, ensuring all employees follow proven methods.

What the ALARDI Africa Course Will Cover

Our Standardized Work course will help your teams see their jobs from a whole new perspective. They will learn to identify variances in processes, eliminate ambiguities, and implement improvements to solve problems. This course will unify your teams and help foster confidence in their influence — both in on-the-job improvement and on overall organizational results.

This course also covers the essential concepts of the Job Methods (JM) course. JM is a proven and reliable system for getting the most from the manpower, machines, and materials you have on hand.  People learn how to break down jobs into their constituent components, systematically questioning each detail to generate ideas for improvement.
